Recently identified; differs from Gilbert's Dragon by white dots on the tympanum (ear-drum). Found in n and nw WA; most of NT and nw Queensland.

Widespread on coral reefs of n Australia, between Exmouth (WA) across north and down to central coast NSW. Active day and night; feeds on wide variety of fish, occasionally fish eggs and fresh fish heads. Aggressive, Dangerously venomous.

Also known as Common House Gecko or Asian House Gecko. Common in se Asia and many tropical areas. In Australia only established in the Cocos Islands. Often found in and around buildings. Common house gecko in Asia , but while this name is used in Australia it refers to a different lizard.
