Also known as oriental Ctenotus. Found in arid s-e WA, through southern SA to western Victoria and southern NSW. Variety of arid habitats, from chenopod scrublands to arid scrubs and open woodland.

Also known as Copper-tailed Ctenotus or Copper-tailed skink. Found mainly along eastern seaboard and throughout the country generally.  Open bushland and heathland. Eats small vertebrates, such as insects and worms. Lives in rocky and sandy environs.
