Also known as Freshwater Snake and Keelback Snake. Range: coastal areas of northern and north-east to Clarence River, NSW. Semi-aquatic species found near water, where feeds mostly on frogs. Active night and day. Non-venomous, harmless.
Only species of genus Tropidonophis found in Australia.
