Also known as Tree Dtella and Varied Dtella. Found across central Australia from west coast to near east coast. Abundant and widespread gecko, probably comprising several species. Shelters under rocks, crevices or under bark during the day.

Widespread from Murray Valley of northern Victoria north and east through NSW west of Dividing Range, similar areas in Queensland south of Hughenden; extends west into most of SA, and nw into southern and central NT. Found in rocky and arboreal habitats, and on buildings.
